Today we are releasing Sysme POS 5.40, a new version that expands ordering and payment capabilities with Sysme QR Menu, Sysme Kiosk, and integration with Comercia Global Payments.
We have also introduced improvements to reservations, customer management, and Sysme POS Mobile, along with several fixes and adjustments to invoicing processes.

What’s new in this version?
Highlights of Sysme POS 5.40 include:
- Sysme QR Menu: QR code menu with ordering from customers’ phones, optional authorization, and online payment through Redsys.
- Sysme Kiosk: a self-service ordering application for Windows touchscreens, supporting payment at the counter or through an integrated card terminal.
- Comercia Global Payments: payment terminal integration with Sysme POS, Sysme POS Mobile, and Sysme Kiosk.
- A redesigned reservation management interface with visual planning and up to three daily shifts.
- Improvements to customer management, Sysme POS Mobile, invoicing, and printing.
Sysme QR Menu: QR code ordering from the table
Sysme QR Menu lets customers browse the menu and place orders directly from their smartphones using a QR code or URL, without installing an app.
Restaurants can configure different ordering modes:
- Open ordering: customers place orders using the table’s QR code without prior authorization.
- Authorized ordering: staff enable orders using a temporary PIN or an authorized QR code.
- Online payment: customers can place and pay for orders through Redsys.
These modes can be used together, depending on the restaurant’s configuration. The menu supports product images, categories, recommended items, product combinations, quantities, and order notes.
SysmeSync retrieves orders into Sysme POS, where kitchen tickets are managed. Customers receive order confirmation and can place additional orders from the same table. Paid orders automatically generate a receipt in Sysme POS.

Sysme Kiosk: self-service ordering on touchscreens
Introducing Sysme Kiosk, a standalone Windows application that allows customers to place orders directly on a touchscreen without staff assistance during product selection.
- Customizable welcome screen and language selection.
- Visual product catalog with categories, images, and recommended items.
- Product selection, combinations, and add-ons.
- Payment at the counter or by card using a compatible Comercia Global Payments terminal.
- Optional printing of order slips with an order number.
- Order synchronization with Sysme POS through Sysme Cloud and SysmeSync.
Sysme Kiosk runs on 64-bit Windows 10 and Windows 11. Both the printer and payment terminal are optional, depending on the establishment’s needs.

Comercia Global Payments integration
Sysme POS 5.40 introduces integration with compatible Comercia Global Payments payment terminals, making card payments easier and eliminating the need to enter amounts manually on the terminal.
The integration is available for Sysme POS for Windows, Sysme POS Mobile, and Sysme Kiosk. It also supports refunds and transaction status checks after communication interruptions, helping reduce the risk of duplicate charges.
Terminal contracts, supply, and support are handled by Comercia Global Payments.
Redesigned reservation management
We have redesigned the reservation management interface with an interactive visual planner to make service organization easier.
- Configure up to three daily shifts.
- View and manage reservations in a new planning interface.
- Access reservations directly from the sales terminal.
Customer management improvements
- Store multiple billing addresses for the same customer.
- Postal code fields now support up to 10 characters for international formats.
- Record the date when customer details were last modified.
- A unified customer assignment button for easier operation.
Sysme POS Mobile improvements
- New password-based login with a touch keypad, without needing to display employee photos.
- Display of the kitchen course or preparation stage associated with order lines.
- Payment integration with compatible Comercia Global Payments terminals.
Other improvements and fixes
Version 5.40 also includes several functional improvements and fixes:
- Fixes to sales and order-line grouping, preserving items already sent to the kitchen.
- Adjustments to prevent overlapping labels on the table layout.
- Fixes to advance payments and invoicing.
- Improvements to certain print layouts.
- Better handling of unspecified expiry dates for products and batches.
- Compatibility fixes for regional Windows settings in VeriFactu and TicketBAI processes.
- Improved handling of rejected TicketBAI Bizkaia records, preventing unnecessary repeated submissions.
Upgrade options
Since version 5.36, new Sysme POS versions can be installed using an upgrade key or through an assisted upgrade service.

Important
Maintenance releases and patches within the same version will remain completely free of charge.
For example, all users who upgrade to Sysme POS 5.40 will be able to install any subsequent 5.40.x maintenance release without purchasing another upgrade key.
These maintenance releases will mainly include:
- Bug fixes.
- Stability improvements.
- Minor technical adjustments.
